Ori Trainin-Gooz
With 25 years of experience, Ori is one of the leading UX experts in Israel. Throughout her career she has designed user interfaces for numerous products in diverse industries, including defense, aerospace, cybersecurity and bio-medical. Ori has a proven track record in Human Factors Engineering and before founding Cognit, she was one of the leads at the Human Factors Engineering division at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, where she developed proven practices and methodology for outstanding user centered design. Ori holds a B.A. in psychology (honors program) from Haifa University and an M.Sc. in industrial psychology and human factors engineering, Technion - Israel institute of Technology.
Moran Mishkal-Sinai
Moran is an expert UX architect, with over 20 years of experience in designing innovative user interfaces for diverse industries. Through her extensive experience in the field, Moran has developed a deep understanding of human-machine interaction and has cultivated a special interest in designing complex physical interfaces. She led the UX design and usability process of groundbreaking technological products, in the military industry among others. Moran holds B.A. in psychology (Cum Laude) and M.A. in organizational psychology, both from Haifa University.
Hadar Moriah
Hadar is Cognit's co-CEO. She constantly pushes for growth in innovative directions, while cultivating the unwavering expertise that defines Cognit's DNA. She is an accomplished UX architect and researcher, with a devotion to delivering efficient client-focused results. Hadar has led numerous complex projects ranging from e-commerce and financial platforms to cybersecurity systems and cutting-edge medical devices. Hadar holds a B.Sc. in life sciences and psychology (Cum-Laude) from the Hebrew University and an M.Sc. in industrial psychology (Magna Cum-Laude) from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Revital Hassid
Revital Hassid is the Head of Administration & HR Manager at Cognit. Revital is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Cognit's administration and operations, including human resources, finance and office management. Prior to joining Cognit, Revital worked as an office manager at NantWorks and Alcatel-Lucent. Revital holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and Human Services, from Haifa University.
Sonya Ben Yishay
Sonya is the head of usability at Cognit and has a strong record in leading Human Factors processes for medical devices. With an extensive background in UX design for complex systems, she recognizes that design and usability go hand in hand in creating user-focused solutions. Her systematic mindset and attention to details, as well as her genuine concern for the well-being of users, drive her to ensure the products she works on are not only functional and user-friendly but also safe to use. Sonya holds a B.A. in psychology from Haifa university and an M.Sc. in industrial psychology and human factors engineering from the Technion.
Tali Natanson
Tali is a seasoned digital interface designer, who believes in precise and applicable solutions that generate tangible value for the product. Her approach to design is planted in deep curiosity about the way people perceive and process information. In her work she proves that the ability to create exceptional visual solutions comes from unexpected places and is rooted in constant learning and in open dialog with other people. Tali is truly dedicated and brings total commitment to the product and the client. Tali holds a B.A.Mus. from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and has completed supplementary studies in Instructional Technology at Columbia university, NYC.
Emuna Eliav, PhD
Emuna is a an experienced UX designer and researcher with an innate knack for bringing clarity into the most complex situations. She seamlessly integrates a broad perspective with an exceptional attention to detail in the projects she leads, including complex medical systems and commercial platforms. Emuna is also a talented lecturer and content developer, who enthusiastically shares her knowledge and expertise with diverse audiences. Emuna holds a B.A. in cognitive sciences and linguistics (Cum-Laude) from the Hebrew University, an M.Sc. in behavioral sciences and management (Cum-Laude) and a PhD in Organizational Behavior, both from the Technion.
Shir Atsmon Livny
Shir is an experienced UX team lead with a profound research background, specializing in autonomous vehicle control. In her role as a UX team lead, Shir spearheads the UX design and usability efforts for complex medical systems, leading a team of UX experts and usability specialists and working closely with cross-functional teams including product development, regulatory compliance, and R&D. Shir holds a B.A. in psychology and cognitive science (with honors) and an M.Sc. in human factors engineering, both from Ben Gurion University.
Shiri Segal
Shiri is an experienced UX designer, known for her ability to transform user needs into user-centric designs. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to simplicity, she believes that the most effective solutions are often the simplest ones. Shiri's specialization lies in creating elegant, user-friendly solutions for intricate problems, making her a valuable asset to any project team. Shiri holds a B.A. in psychology and art history (with honors), from the Hebrew University and an M.Sc. in cognitive psychology and human factors engineering from the Technion - Istrael Institute of Technology.
Yishai Sorek
Yishai is passionate about helping users achieve their goals through clear, concise and communicative design. Yishai utilizes his diverse background in cognitive science to investigate users' needs, structure them effectively and find creative solutions to meet them. As an experienced UX designer and a project lead, Yishai has extensive experience in both UX design and usability research of complex systems, particularly within the medical and cybersecurity industries. Yishai holds a B.A. in cognitive sciences, English literature and history, and an M.A. in cognitive psychology and art history (with honors), both from the Hebrew University.
Romi Maliniak
Romi is a passionate UX researcher with an extensive academic background in human-robot interaction (HRI). As a UX researcher and a project lead, Romi has diverse research experience in multiple domains, such as cybersecurity, fintech, military and medical systems. Her experience in research, combining psychological and technological aspects, helped shape Romi’s approach as a multidisciplinary UX researcher with an analytical mindset and strong interpersonal capabilities. Romi holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. in industrial engineering, specializing in human factors engineering (excellence program), from Ben-Gurion University.
Orly Yacobovitz
Orly is a senior product designer with a rich experience designing product for diverse companies, from startups to established brands, in the agritech, fintech and medical domains, among others. Orly is creating a shared brand identity and holistic user experience that connects products and platforms together, based on a well-defined strategy and clear vision. Orly graduated from Goren School of Visual Communication - Emeq Izrael Academic College, and holds a certificate in marketing and advertising from Haifa University.
Nastia Afanassiev
Nastia is a senior UX expert with a strong research background. Nastia combines creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. She has diverse experience in UX research and design for complex systems in the agritech, military and medical industries, among others. She is also involved in usability testing projects for medical devices, where she relies on her deep understanding of human behavior for gaining design insights. Nastia holds a B.A. in psychology and HR from Haifa University and an M.Sc. in behavioural and management sciences, specializing in organizational and cognitive psychology, from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Shira Tittman
Shira is a meticulous user experience designer with a rich background in the fields of therapy and medical organizations. Her diverse hands-on experience helped Shira cultivate a deep understanding of how people think and act, and what adjustments are required in order to make processes and knowledge accessible to them. She strives to create accessible, intuitive and holistic interfaces that derive from rigorous user research.
Chen Kantor
Chen is the office administrator of Cognit UX experts and responsible for general office administration issues. Chen has 9 years of experience in administrative management. Chen holds a B.A in business management and human resources, Ruppin Academic Center. Prior to joining Cognit, Chen worked as office manager at Igentify and as operations manager at Gold Business Tourism.
Chana Berelejis
Chana is a strong analytic thinker with exceptional communication skills, whose dedication lies in driving positive change, particularly within the realm of medical products. She refined her expertise in human factors engineering through active engagement with a diverse range of intricate medical systems. Her practical involvement spanns a spectrum of responsibilities, from conducting comprehensive user research and meticulous usability evaluations to adeptly navigating the intricacies of FDA usability reports. Chana holds a B.A in cognitive science and psychology (with honors) and M.A in cognitive science (with Honors), both from the Hebrew University.
Ortal Gretchin
In her work as a UX expert, Ortal combines her academic background in information perception with experience in leading diverse design projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments. She possesses a sense of genuine curiosity, empathy, and observational and analytical skills and enjoys distilling complex ideas to their essence. At Cognit, she specializes in improving user experiences in complex medical systems. She conducts FDA-compliant usability tests and collaborates with physicians and clinical staff to gather valuable insights for safer and more effective product development. Ortal holds a B. A in psychology from Haifa University and an M.A in social psychology from Tel Aviv University.
Gal Nir-Cohen, PhD
Gal is a highly educated researcher with a strong multidisciplinary background. She specializes in simplifying complexities in both her academic pursuits and professional work. As a UX expert, Gal's primary focus is on creating a seamless user experience and executing comprehensive usability studies, particularly in the domain of complex medical systems. Gal holds B.A in psychology, cognitive science and philosophy, an M.A. in cognitive science with computational emphasis and a Ph.D. is in cognitive psychology and neuroscience, specializing in the neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying decision-making, all from Ben Gurion University.
Hodaya Goldberg
Hodaya has a diverse academic background including psychology, neuroscience, and cognition. She is passionate about applying her extensive experience in human behavior research to improve real-world experiences for others. In cognit, Hodaya engages in a variety of projects encompassing UX design for complex systems, conducts user and field research and is involved in usability assessments for medical devices. Hodaya has a B.A in psychology and neuroscience (with Honors) from Ben Gurion Universityand is completing her M.A in psychology, cognition & the brain at Tel Aviv University.
Nogah Blum
Nogah is a dedicated UX expert with a passion fordesign and a strong foundation in computer science. Her unique blend ofcreativity and technical expertise motivated her to pursue the joint program incomputer science and design at the Hebrew University and Bezalel Academy of Artand Design. As a UX designer, Nogah crafts research-driven UX concepts anddetailed designs for clients of all sizes, from large corporations to startups.She holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Hebrew University and has completeda variety of professional courses in motion and experience design.
Yael Shavit, PhD
Yael is a cognitive psychologist with over a decade of experience in conducting and leading research projects investigating human behavior and decision-making in both lab settings and the field. She specializes in translating complex theories into practical interventions within organizational environments and everyday life. As a usability specialist, she relies on her strong research skills and her deep understanding of the human factors involved in enhancing health and safety, to conduct end-to-end FDA-compliant usability processes, from analysis and documentation to execution of studies and gaining actionable insights.
Yael holds a PhD and an M.Sc. in cognitive psychology and human factors engineering from the Technion.
Alma Neeman
Alma is a multidisciplinary visual designer with a strong background in UI design, art direction, web design, and brand identity. Holding a B.Des in Visual Communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, she has collaborated with renowned global brands and agencies. Her designs, characterized by bold shapes, vibrant colors, and a keen eye for emerging trends, prioritize user-centered experiences and emotional impact. Alma is also passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, both through academic pursuits and personal mentoring.
